IBAGUÉ WINS THE 'SMART CITY INNOVATOR AWARDS 2024

The city of Ibagué is transforming, blossoming with progress as the vibrant pink flowers of the ocobo trees gracefully fall onto its streets. Inspired by the natural beauty of these trees, Soinsolar has designed a solar tree that brings both innovation and sustainability to the city. Another innovative feature is its ability to serve as a power source, where citizens can charge their mobile devices at the eight available charging points. Moreover, the tree provides a public WiFi zone with full coverage, allowing city residents to enjoy free internet access while relaxing or working in these spaces.

The project is not limited to one location. In fact, four solar trees have been implemented in different areas of the municipality, each in a key location to ensure maximum community impact. The locations include:
