The solar project implemented in La Florida, Ibagué represents a significant advancement in renewable energy adoption for the Tolima region. With a total capacity of 71.3 kWp distributed across 124 panels of 575W each, the system produces approximately 8,200 kWh of clean energy monthly. This generation translates to significant monthly savings of $6,700,000 COP, substantially reducing operational costs and dependence on conventional energy sources.
Beyond economic benefits, the installation actively contributes to environmental protection by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The high-efficiency solar panels used in the project guarantee optimal performance year-round, with an estimated 25-year lifespan. The partnership between SOINSOLAR and CELSIA has made this initiative possible, serving as a replicable model for other institutions and businesses in the region seeking to combine sustainability with profitability.
